These are just a few...We started using them in the Spring of 2016. We had what seemed to be an epidemic of Ulcer ridden horses (which we found out might have been due to the brand of rice bran we were feeding), after careful research and a lot of Omeprazole (which equals money) later we needed a preventative. Slow feeders were the answer and Porta Grazer was the right choice for us. We needed something that could be put in individual stalls and that was portable.
So like we mentioned, there are so many benefits to using these feeders. As many of us know, a slow feed program is best for our horses health. Having food in the horses gut at all times is the way God intended it to be. The sloshing of stomach acid is so incredibly detrimental to the well being of the horse. We have always tried to keep food in front of our horses, although that can be hard with the easy keeper or the wasteful horse. These feeders allow you to customize rations and completely eliminate waste. Feeding once a day has literally changed my life especially during the winter! Being able to take them to shows, knowing you can ride in the middle of the night without worrying about when you have to get up and feed prior to riding. The convenience of having someone come feed for you when you are gone and they only have to come once a day is wonderful not to mention saves you money! Horses get bored and then get destructive, these feeders have changed the way our young horses behave and seems to have taken the anxiety away from "Feeding Time".
